Afghanistan National Football Team
The Afghanistan national football team ( ''Tīm-e Millī-e Fūtbāl-e Afghānestān'') is the national football team of Afghanistan and is controlled by the Afghanistan Football Federation. Founded in 1922, they played their first international game against Iran in Kabul, 1941. Afghanistan then joined FIFA in 1948 and the AFC in 1954, as one of the founding members. Alfred Körner (14 February 1926 – 23 January 2020) was an Austrian footballer. He played for Austria at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Club career Körner had a career with SK Rapid Wien and also played for FK Admira Wien (now VfB Admira Wacker Mödling). International career Körner made his debut for Austria in an October 1947 friendly match against Czechoslovakia and played in the 1954 FIFA World Cup where Austria finished third with his older brother Robert, and the 1958 FIFA World Cup. Ernst Franz Hermann Happel (29 November 1925 – 14 November 1992) was an Austrian football player and manager. Happel is regarded as one of the greatest managers of all time, winning both league and domestic cup titles in the Netherlands, Belgium, West Germany, and Austria. Wilhelm 'Willi' Hahnemann (14 April 1914 – 23 August 1991) was an Austrian and German football player who started his career at Admira Vienna. Club career In the 1935-36 Austrian league season he netted 23 goals for his club to become the league's top scorer. On 13 September 1943 Hahnemann played in a friendly for Slavia Prague. The Wiener Sport-Club, sometimes abbreviated as WSC, was established in 1883 in Vienna, Austria and is one of the country's oldest athletics clubs. Their traditional home is in the Dornbach quarter of the city ( 17th district). History At various times throughout its history the club has had departments for fencing, boxing, wrestling, cycling, handball, track and field, field hockey, tennis, squash, football and water polo.
